Wow! This book is amazing. First of all, I love Jack. He is so much fun but he also has a serious side, an honourable side that just makes him such an interesting character. The other characters are flawed and yet likeable, too.The world of Lumineia is fascinating and well drawn. I just loved the descriptions that really brought this story to life. There is a lot of action and well-written fight scenes.
If you like believable fantasy worlds, action adventure, and a fun whirlwind of a read, then you are going to love this book. You go up there and click that buy button while I go get books 2 and 3. Might as well get them both right now - this series is THAT good. :D

This is the first step of the King of Thieves trilogy. A well written cohesive world. An enthralling story.
Seems decent.. I was actually looking for a different book series but I've enjoyed this one too!
This was an enjoyable read. I enjoy the characters and was able to connect with them. I will certainly continue on to the next.
Jack Myst was a favorite in the Chronicles of Lumineia and was looking forward to reading the book. Jack didn't let me down, he's an exciting character which uses humor and charm to cover up his true feelings. This whole world that Ben has created makes it a very fun read, the main characters are very powerful for sure, but does in no way diminish the entertainment of reading his books.
This story line embodies everything I love to read. Great plots, unforgettable and exciting characters and that hint of background familiarity from previous novels. I can't wait now to get my mind into book 2. Well done and thank you for sharing your stories.
I love Ben Hale's novels and series! The characters are believable, Jack being so very cheeky, and the storylines keep you engaged. I have enjoyed every book of Luminea and this new series to let us into the mind of Jack definitely lives up to its predecessors and raises the bar. Give this book a chance and I think you won't be disappointed! Also, if there are any literary agents out there- snap up Ben Hale! These books deserve to be in print!
I don't do too many reviews, but this book warranted one. This book was so much fun!!! It reminded me of my favorite part, the Thieves Guild in Skyrim. This being my first foray into the world of Lumineia and am eagerly looking forward to visiting again. Do yourself a favor and pick this up!!!
